From prehistory to the Romanesque, in Segre Rialb history and landscape move forward together. Monasteries, churches of golden stone, old town centres, viewpoints and villages full of memory make up a mosaic to be explored at leisure, where every visit conceals a discovery: a lintel that tells of centuries, a bell tower in the middle of the woods, a path that climbs between mountain ranges.
Long before the castles and the churches, this land was already inhabited. Prehistory has left a discreet but fascinating mark here: rock shelters, caves and megaliths woven into the landscape. In Peramola, the memory is preserved in spaces of troglodyte life such as the Corb cave and the Jou cave.
